Jason Calhoun, Michael Cormier, The Van Band

All Ages
Dave Kiss Presents: Tadzio, Jason Calhoun, Michael Cormier and The Van Band at First Unitarian Church Chapel

Tadzio is an ensemble of Philadelphia/D.C. based musicians who share an interest in creating evocative sonic landscapes that blend warm acoustic tones (harp, piano, flute, percussion) with electronic instrumentation with an uneasy lushness that recalls both the soaring verticality of a symphony hall and the distorted hum of a basement noise show.

Michael Cormier

Prolific multi-instrumentalist Michael Cormier (drummer in Friendship and songwriter/guitarist in the instrumental ensemble Hour) writes modern folk songs about the contours of unrealistic hopes and expectations, along with impressionistic musings on his earliest, most ephemeral memories of childhood. Michael also writes songs for the eight-piece instrumental ensemble Hour. They released two records, Tiny Houses and Anemone Red, in 2018, and have supported the likes of Loren Connors, Jeffery Lewis, and Sam Amidon.

The Van Band

They perform folk songs written by Evangeline Krajewski, who sings and plays guitar, and features Pete Gill on pedal steel and Michael Cormier on classical guitar.
